7th Eilat Festival for Chamber Music

In a magical atmosphere facing the red mountains of Eilat, world acclaimed musicians and ensembles will gather to give exciting chamber and orchestral concerts, opera, choir and gypsy music. Students from all over the world will join the festival to study with the festival's soloists in master-classes and workshops.

As always, the festival will offer unique events of the highest quality. In collaboration with the upcoming Olympic Games in London, the festival will bring the British ensemble La Serenissima, who will perform a fully staged production of Vivaldi's opera L'Olympiade, with a list of leading singers of the genre. The festival will host the State Choir Latvija, one of the greatest choral ensembles in the world, that will perform both in a choral concert as well as the festival's concluding gala concert featuring Mozart's Great Mass.

The list of soloists will include this year the legendary pianist Stephen Kovacevic, the British cellist Natalie Clein, Ukranian violinist Valeriy Sokolov, Hungarian violist Eniko Magyar, pianists Oxana Yablonskaya and Boris Berman, opera singers including Mhairi Lawson, Claire Meghnagi and Stephen Gadd, the Dutch Mokum Strings, Roby Lakatos Ensemble, Maria Juncal Flamenco Ensemble and many other musicians and ensembles.
