Concert No.8:

Flamenco: Origen

Performing Artists

Program

ORIGEN brings together two of the most important artists of today’s musical scene, MARCO FLORES, bailaor and National Prize of Flamenco and IGNACIO PREGO, award-winning reference harpsichordist.
Their new project, premiered with great success at the Aranjuez Early Music Festival, takes us into a fantasy world in which early music and flamenco dance go hand in hand free from orthodoxism and purism.
Scarlatti’s Sonatas for harpsichord, chaconas, folias por bulerías, xácaras or the popular Fandango by Antonio Soler together with percussionist David Mayoral, raise and strengthen this bailaor from the south of Spain with a revealing result: Flamenco dance inspired in ancient dances, painting a bridge that connects both worlds… Enjoy!
