תכנית פסטיבל - 2015

Salle de Tarshish
Carpe Noctem (Seize the Night)

Un programme musical  nocturne  qui explore  la musique de la Renaissance,  du baroque et jusqu’à nos jours.
Kolner Vocalsolisten choir

In their concert the Koelner Vokalsolisten take ‘Night’ as their theme. They take us through the darkness on a journey spanning the musical ages. Whether in Gesualdo’s lugubrious madrigals, Eric Whitacre’s golden-gleaming visions of darkness, or in Max Reger’s religious pieces (Nachtlied, Unser lieben Frauen Traum), the Vokalsolisten with their atmospherically glowing sound show an absolute command of the varying styles, bringing the pieces to life in a kind of illuminated speech. Vokalsolist Fabian Hemmelmann’s composition shows links to Bach’s chorale Komm o Tod du Schlafes Bruder, adding a euphoric element to the baroque sounds. Oevres written by William Byrd, Johannes Brahms, Francis Poulenc u.a.
